Donald Kerby founded Mayo Gas Company.

DOXOL Gas Company purchased Mayo Gas Company from Donald Kerby.

Joe Walker became the manager and employed Donald Kerby after he sold the business.

Mayo Gas Company changed its name to DOXOL Gas of Mayo, Inc. on January 20^th.

Joe, Manager of DOXOL Gas of Mayo hired John C. Hewitt, 18 years old to work part-time while he attended North Florida Junior College (NFJC). John worked after school and on weekends.

Joe and John became a dealer of DOXOL Gas Company and changed the business name to J&J Gas Service.

The company became incorporated to J&J Gas Service, Inc.

J&J Gas (past and present) began selling LP gas and providing service in the Suwannee Valley region.

John purchased Joe’s part of the business partnership.

Joe and his wife Glenda continued to work for J&J Gas until 2008. Joe & Glenda played a big part in the success of J&J Gas Service.

DOXOL sold out to Petrol One Gas Company while J&J Gas Service was a dealer.

J&J Gas Service, Inc. became an independent gas supplier.

Jeremy West started as part-time and in more recent years to a full-time delivery driver.

Brandon Hewett (son of John Hewett) started working part-time while still attending high school.

Brandon became President and Manager of the company.

Robert Fissell joined J&J Gas in the fall after working for Suburban Propane for 28 years under various job titles.

Added Fort White and Columbia County to service area.

Sandy Touchton joined our J&J Gas family in May after having served in the propane industry for years.

In the summer we moved into our brand-new state of the art facility right down the street from our old location; new location: 185 E Main Street.

In the Fall, we added High Springs to our service area.

Lisa Mauldin joined our family after being successful in previous years and serving as a propane sales representative.

In March, we expanded fleet by adding a new bobtail delivery truck and new service truck equipped for bigger installations and service jobs.

Austin was welcomed into the J&J Gas Service family as a full-time service technician.
